Product Description

LAT is phosphorylated by ZAP-70/Syk protein tyrosine kinases following activation of the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) signal transduction pathway. LAT plays a significant role in T cell activation by serving as a signaling hub. Upon T cell receptor engagement, LAT associates with various signaling molecules, including phospholipase C gamma 1 (PLC γ1), GRB2, and the p85 subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI 3-kinase), facilitating a cascade of intracellular signaling events that lead to T cell proliferation and differentiation. Notably, LAT undergoes palmitoylation, a post-translational modification that is essential for tyrosine phosphorylation and proper localization to glycolipid-enriched microdomains within the cell membrane.
