Product Description

Nek7(NIMA related kinase 7) plays a crucial role in regulating mitosis, particularly during the G2 to M phase transition, where Nek7 is essential for proper cell division. This regulation is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing the onset of diseases such as cancer, as aberrations in mitotic processes can lead to aneuploidy and tumorigenesis. Nek7 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and is highly expressed in various tissues, including lung, testis, muscle, spleen, heart, liver, leukocytes, and brain, while showing lower expression levels in the ovary, prostate, and kidney, and absent in the small intestine. Nek7′s cellular localization is important for coordinating cell division, which is essential for maintaining proper cellular function and preventing diseases such as cancer.
