| Product Description | |
CD79A also known as MB-1, IGalpha is a crucial component of the B cell antigen receptor complex, which plays a vital role in B cell activation and immune response. CD79A protein is located on the surface of B cells, where CD79A forms a heterodimer with CD79B, facilitating association with membrane immunoglobulins such as IgM and IgD. This interaction is essential for effective surface expression of these immunoglobulins, enabling B cells to present antigens and initiate immune responses. Additionally, cytoplasmic tails of CD79A and CD79B contain immuno-receptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAMs) that are critical for triggering downstream signaling pathways upon antigen binding, ultimately leading to B cell activation and proliferation. |
