Product Description

DNASE1L1(Deoxyribonuclease I-like 1) also known as XIB, DNL1L, DNASEX is a deoxyribonuclease protein that shows high sequence similarity to DNase I. DNASE1L1 plays a crucial role in DNA degradation, particularly during apoptosis, by mediating internucleosomal DNA fragmentation through catalytic activity. This function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing damaged DNA accumulation, which can lead to various diseases, including cancer. DNASE1L1 is predominantly localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and is expressed at high levels in cardiac and skeletal muscle, with lower expression in other tissues, highlighting importance in muscle physiology and development.
