Product Description

Fibrinogen β also knonw as FGB is the beta component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains, which plays a crucial role in the coagulation cascade, particularly in the formation of Fibrin, the primary component of blood clots. The Fibrinogen β subunit is essential for the proper assembly and function of the Fibrinogen molecule, influencing its ability to participate in platelet aggregation and the stabilization of blood clots. Notably, Fibrinogen β interacts with various proteins, including Thrombin, which cleaves Fibrinogen to form Fibrin, and other coagulation factors that are vital for hemostasis following vascular injury.
