One of the key functions of USP10 is removing ubiquitin from ubiquitin-conjugated substrates, thereby influencing protein stability and activity. This deubiquitinating activity is particularly important in the context of the DNA-bound androgen receptor complex, where USP10 may modulate receptor activity and, consequently, gene expression.
