| Product Description | |
GHS-R1 also known as growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1 is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family. plays a crucial role in regulating growth hormone release. GHS-R1 binds to synthetic peptidyl and nonpeptidyl growth hormone secretagogues, which are essential for stimulating growth hormone secretion. Notably, the interaction between GHS and GHS-R1 is magnesium-dependent and is distinct from the regulation of growth hormone by hypothalamic hormones such as growth hormone-releasing hormone and somatostatin. This specificity indicates that GHS-R1 may serve as a unique regulator of growth hormone, highlighting potential importance in understanding growth disorders and metabolic diseases. |
