Product Description

Cyclin F also known as FBX1 is a member of the cyclin family. Cyclin F plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, being the largest member of the cyclin family, and contains a unique PEST-rich C-terminus along with a cyclin box region closely related to cyclins A and B. Cyclin F′s function is particularly important in controlling the G2 to M transition, a critical phase in cell division, where proper regulation ensures accurate DNA replication and distribution to daughter cells. Cyclin F expression occurs throughout the cell cycle but shows dynamic fluctuations, peaking during the G2 phase, which is essential for preparing cells for mitosis. Cyclin F′s regulated subcellular localization, primarily in the nucleus with notable perinuclear staining in some cells, underscores its significance in cellular processes and highlights its potential as a target for studying cell cycle-related disorders.
