Product Description | |
The Fos gene family consists of 4 members: FOS, FOSB, FOSL1, and FOSL2. As a nuclear phosphoprotein, FosB undergoes sophisticated regulation through post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, which fine-tunes FosB′s stability, subcellular localization, and ability to form complexes with Jun family proteins. These modifications prove essential for FosB′s capacity to bind TPA response elements (TREs) in DNA, enabling precise control of genes involved in proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Through this intricate regulatory network responding to growth factors, stress signals, and other molecular cues, FosB serves as a critical coordinator of transcriptional responses. |
