TACC3 also designated ERIC1 is a a member of the transforming acidic coiled-coil (TACC) protein family, plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and mitotic spindle assembly, which are essential processes for proper cell division and maintaining genomic stability. TACC3 is primarily localized to the centrosomes and microtubules, where TACC3 is involved in organizing the microtubule network during mitosis.
