Product Description | |
p130 Cas also known as CAS, BCAR1 is a member of the Crk-associated substrate (CAS) family of scaffold proteins, characterized by the presence of multiple protein-protein interaction domains and many serine and tyrosine phosphorylation sites. p130 Cas plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in cell adhesion and migration. p130 Cas is primarily located in the cytoplasm but can translocate to the cell membrane upon tyrosine phosphorylation, which is essential for mediating signals from growth factor receptors and integrins. This relocation allows for dynamic regulation of signaling pathways that control cell behavior, including proliferation and differentiation. p130 Cas contains multiple SH2-binding motifs, making p130 Cas a key substrate for various protein tyrosine kinases, including v-Src and v-Crk, which influence oncogenic signaling. |
