| Product Description | |
MKK6 also known as MEK6, SAPKK3, MAP2K6 is a member of the dual specificity protein kinase family, which functions as a mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase kinase. MKK6 plays a crucial role in the activation of p38 MAP kinase, which is essential for various cellular responses, including inflammation, stress responses, and apoptosis. The activation of p38 MAP kinase by MKK6 is particularly important because it mediates the cellular response to environmental stressors and is involved in the regulation of gene expression, cell differentiation, and survival. By phosphorylating specific threonine and tyrosine residues, MKK6 ensures the proper functioning of the p38 MAP kinase pathway, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli. |
