| Product Description | |
Met also known as c-Met is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family of proteins and the product of the proto-oncogene MET. Met plays a significant role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in relation to hepatocyte growth factor, a key player in liver regeneration. Met is primarily located on the cell surface, where Met mediates important biological processes such as cell proliferation, survival, and migration. This localization enables rapid response to extracellular signals, facilitating the regulation of tissue repair and regeneration. Dysregulation of Met signaling has been implicated in various cancers, making Met an important target for therapeutic intervention. |
