| Product Description | |
LIMK2(LIM Kinase 2) is a member of the LIM kinase family. LIMK2 plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics, which is essential for various cellular processes such as motility, morphology, and signaling. LIMK2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is involved in the phosphorylation of cofilin, a key regulator of actin filament turnover. This phosphorylation inhibits cofilin′s ability to bind to actin, thereby promoting the stabilization of actin filaments and influencing cell shape and movement. LIMK2 functions are vital for processes such as cell migration and differentiation, making LIMK2 an important target for studies related to cancer metastasis and neurodevelopmental disorders. |
