| Product Description | |
HDAC8(Histone deacetylase 8) is a member of the histone deacetylase family. HDAC8 is primarily located in the nucleus and plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression through the modification of chromatin structure. By removing acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones, HDAC8 contributes to the condensation of chromatin, leading to transcriptional repression. This process is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating developmental processes, as aberrant HDAC activity has been implicated in various cancers and other diseases. HDAC8 interacts with several other proteins, including transcription factors and co-repressors, which further modulates gene regulation. |
