| Product Description | |
ARPC5 also known as p16-ARC is a crucial 151 amino acid subunit of the Arp2/3 complex. ARPC5 is essential for actin polymerization and the formation of branched actin networks. ARPC5 protein plays a significant role in maintaining the structural integrity of the Arp2/3 complex, and serves as a substrate for MAPKAPK-2, which phosphorylates ARPC5, potentially influencing the regulatory functions of the Arp2/3 complex and the remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton. ARPC5′s interaction with other actin-related proteins underscores its importance in cellular processes such as motility, shape maintenance, and intracellular transport. Two isoforms of ARPC5 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity in various cellular contexts. |
