Product Description

Smad5 is involved in the transforming growth factor beta signaling pathway that results in an inhibition of the proliferation of hematopoietic progenitor cells. Smad5 plays a crucial role in the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathway, which is essential for various biological processes, including embryonic development, tissue homeostasis, and regulation of cell growth and differentiation. Smad5 acts as a transcription factor that transduces signals from BMPs, leading to activation of target genes involved in osteogenesis and chondrogenesis. Proper functioning of Smad5 is vital, as dysregulation of BMP signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and skeletal disorders.
