Product Description | |
Btk also known as Bruton tyrosine kinase, BTK plays a crucial role in B cell development and signaling, making Btk essential for the immune response. Mutations in Btk can lead to X-linked agammaglobulinemia, a condition characterized by a significant reduction in antibody production and increased susceptibility to infections, highlighting Btk′s importance in maintaining immune system integrity. Btk is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and is recruited to the plasma membrane upon B cell receptor activation, where Btk participates in downstream signaling pathways that promote B cell maturation and proliferation. |
