| Product Description | |
Pim-1 is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in cell signaling pathways, particularly in lymphoid cell transformation, where Pim-1 cooperates with c-Myc. This interaction is vital for the regulation of cell proliferation and survival, making Pim-1 an important factor in oncogenesis. Pim-1 expression increases during the transition from early to late G1 phase of the cell cycle, remaining elevated at the G1/S boundary and throughout the G2 phase, which underscores its significance in cell cycle regulation. Pim-1 is regulated at both transcriptional and translational levels, with Pim-1 expression being induced by interleukin-2 stimulation, highlighting Pim-1′s role in T cell differentiation and function. |
