| Product Description | |
Troponin T also known as Cardiac Troponin T, TNNT2 is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Troponin T plays a critical role in muscle contraction by facilitating the interaction between actin and myosin, which are essential for muscle fiber contraction and relaxation. Troponin T is part of the troponin complex, which also includes Troponin I and Troponin C, and is specifically important in cardiac muscle where Troponin T helps regulate contraction in response to calcium levels. Troponin T links the troponin complex to the muscle thin filament, ensuring that the contraction process is tightly controlled. |
