Product Description

IRF-6(Interferon regulatory factor-6) is a member of the interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) family. IRF-6 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during development, particularly in epidermis formation and palate development. Proper IRF-6 function is essential for preventing congenital defects such as cleft lip and palate, highlighting IRF-6′s importance in developmental biology. Mutations in IRF-6 have been linked to these conditions, underscoring IRF-6′s significance in both normal development and disease. Additionally, IRF-6 interacts with other proteins in the interferon regulatory factor family, which collectively regulate immune responses and cellular growth, further emphasizing IRF-6′s role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental signals.
