| Product Description | |
Sox11 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. Sox11 plays a pivotal role in neural development. Sox11 contains a high mobility group (HMG) box DNA-binding domain, which is essential for function as a transcriptional regulator. Sox11 is crucial for the differentiation and maintenance of neural progenitor cells, influencing cell fate decisions during the development of the central nervous system. Proper functioning of Sox11 is vital, as dysregulation of Sox11 expression has been linked to various neurodevelopmental disorders and may contribute to the pathogenesis of certain cancers. With evolutionary conservation and significant role in developmental processes, Sox11 serves as an important marker for studying neural development and associated diseases. |
