| Product Description | |
HSPA4 also known as Apg-2 is a member of the heat shock protein 110 family. HSPA4 plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses by acting as a molecular chaperone, facilitating proper folding and assembly of proteins, and preventing aggregation under stress conditions. This function helps maintain cellular homeostasis and protects cells from damage caused by misfolded proteins, which can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. HSPA4 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the nucleus under stress, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular function and response to environmental changes. HSPA4 interactions with other proteins, such as HSP 70 and HSP 90, underscore significance in the chaperone network, collaborating to ensure protein quality control and cellular resilience. |
