| Product Description | |
TORC3 also known as CTRC3 is a member of the CREB regulated transcription coactivator gene family. TORC3 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and gene expression regulation. TORC3 is primarily located in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, which enables interaction with various transcription factors and modulation of gene expression in response to cellular signals. TORC3 acts as a transcriptional coactivator for CREB-1, influencing the expression of genes activated by CREB, and is involved in the SIK/TORC signaling pathway, which is essential for processes such as energy metabolism and stress response. TORC3 is expressed in various tissues, including lung, colon, brain, ovary, kidney, prostate, and heart, and is particularly important in lymphocytes, where TORC3 contributes to immune responses. Multiple alternatively spliced isoforms of TORC3 further underscore functional diversity and regulatory potential in different cellular contexts. |
