| Product Description | |
Cdc123 (Cell division cycle protein 123) also known as D123 is a crucial 336 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a significant role in regulating the cell cycle. Cdc123 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as the thymus, spleen, ovary, testis, small intestine, and leukocytes, highlighting its importance in various biological processes. The primary function of Cdc123 is to destabilize checkpoint with forkhead and ring finger domain (Chfr) proteins, which, if allowed to accumulate, can inhibit the transition from the G1 to S phase of the cell cycle. By preventing the buildup of Chfr proteins, Cdc123 facilitates the progression of cells into the S phase, thereby promoting normal cell division. |
