| Product Description | |
DPF2 also known as UBID4 is a member of the d4 domain family, characterized by a zinc finger-like structural motif. DPF2 is characterized by nuclear localization and the presence of one C2H2 and two PHD-type zinc finger motifs. DPF2 functions as a transcription factor involved in apoptosis, which is programmed cell death essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and eliminating damaged cells. DPF2 regulation is particularly important, as leukemia/lymphoma-related factor (LRF) can inhibit DPF2 activity when up-regulated by integrin signaling during apoptosis. Such interaction suggests DPF2 may serve as a potential therapeutic target in cancer treatments aimed at inducing apoptosis in leukemia cells, highlighting DPF2′s significance in both normal cellular processes and disease states. |
