| Product Description | |
hnRNP M also known as NAGR1, HNRNPM is a member of the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). hnRNP M plays a crucial role in pre-mRNA splicing, a vital process that ensures the correct maturation of mRNA before translation into proteins. hnRNP M is primarily located in the nucleus, where hnRNP M participates in the assembly of spliceosomal complexes, which are essential for the removal of introns from pre-mRNA. Proper functioning of hnRNP M is important because any dysregulation in splicing can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. hnRNP M is also involved in stress-induced transient splicing arrest, highlighting hnRNP M′s role in cellular responses to environmental changes. |
