| Product Description | |
AIP4 also known as ITCH is a member of the Nedd4 family of HECT domain E3 ubiquitin ligases. AIP4 plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. AIP4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is involved in the ubiquitination of target proteins, thereby influencing various cellular processes such as signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, and apoptosis. Multiple WW domains in AIP4 allow interaction with a variety of protein partners, facilitating the recognition and binding of substrates for ubiquitination. Understanding AIP4 function and interactions is vital, as dysregulation of ubiquitin ligases has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. |
