Product Description

IMP3 also kwnon as MRPS4, IGF2BP3 is primarily found in the nucleolus, where it can bind to the 5' UTR of the insulin-like growth factor II leader 3 mRNA and may repress translation of insulin-like growth factor II during late development. IMP3 protein contains several KH domains, which are important in RNA binding and are known to be involved in RNA synthesis and metabolism. Proper functioning of Imp3 is vital for ribosome biogenesis, a process fundamental for protein synthesis in all living cells. Disruptions in ribosomal processing can lead to various cellular dysfunctions and are implicated in several diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders.
