| Product Description | |
KIFC1(Kinesin family member C1) also known as HSET, KNSL2 is a 673 amino acid protein that plays a pivotal role in organizing microtubules during cell division. KIFC1 is primarily located in the nucleus and features a C-terminal kinesin-motor domain, which is essential for function as a minus-end directed microtubule-dependent motor. KIFC1 interacts with NuMA and cytoplasmic Dynein to facilitate the organization of microtubule minus ends at spindle poles, a critical process for ensuring proper bipolar spindle formation. Disruption of KIFC1 function in HeLa cells leads to the formation of multipolar mitotic spindles, highlighting importance in maintaining the fidelity of cell division. |
