Product Description

SV40 Large T antigen plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle and is essential for the transformation of host cells, as SV40 large T antigen interacts with key cellular proteins. Notably, SV40 large T antigen binds to the retinoblastoma (Rb) tumor suppressor protein, specifically targeting the "pocket" domain, which is also the binding site for the E2F transcription factor. This interaction leads to the release of E2F, promoting cell cycle progression and contributing to oncogenic transformation. Additionally, SV40 large T antigen′s ability to inactivate the p53 tumor suppressor gene further underscores SV40 large T antigen′s importance in cellular transformation and cancer research.
