Product Description

THBS1 also known as Thrombospondin 1, TSP 1, THBS is a subunit of a disulfide-linked homotrimeric protein. THBS1 is an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions. THBS1 can bind to fibrinogen, fibronectin, laminin, type V collagen and integrins alpha-V/beta-1. This protein has been shown to play roles in platelet aggregation, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis. THBS1 interacts with several important proteins, including CD36, CD47, and various integrins, which are essential for mediating cellular adhesion, migration, and proliferation. These interactions are vital for maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating responses to injury and inflammation.
