| Product Description | |
TDP43 also known as TARDBP is a nuclear protein characterized by two RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains, which play a significant role in RNA processing and regulation. TDP43 is essential for binding to TAR DNA sequence motifs of HIV, functioning as a transcriptional repressor that inhibits HIV-1 transcription. TDP43 is involved in splicing of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, highlighting TARDBP′s importance in maintaining proper cellular function. TDP43 is a major component of ubiquitin-positive inclusion bodies, which are associated with various neurodegenerative diseases, suggesting TDP43′s potential role in disease pathogenesis. |
