| Product Description | |
PLEKHA1 also known as TAPP1 is a pleckstrin homology domain-containing adapter protein. PLEKHA1 plays a significant role in cellular signaling pathways. PLEKHA1 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as skeletal muscle, spleen, lung, thymus, and placenta, where PLEKHA1 is involved in the regulation of actin-mediated membrane dynamics. Upon stimulation by growth factors and subsequent activation of phosphoinositol 3-kinase, PLEKHA1 is recruited to the plasma membrane, where PLEKHA1 accumulates in F-actin-rich membrane ruffles. This recruitment is facilitated by the specific interaction of PLEKHA1 C-terminal PH domain with phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate, highlighting the importance of lipid-protein interactions in cellular signaling. |
