| Product Description | |
ALK(Anaplastic lymphoma kinase) also known as CD246 is a receptor tyrosine kinase, which belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily. ALK is a receptor tyrosine kinase characterized by its distinct structure, which includes an N-terminal extracellular domain, a single transmembrane helix, and an intracellular kinase domain. This protein plays a crucial role in the development and function of the nervous system by regulating neuronal growth, differentiation, and survival. Additionally, ALK is implicated in various cancers, including anaplastic large cell lymphoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and neuroblastoma, where genetic alterations such as translocations lead to constitutive activation and drive oncogenic signaling pathways. |
