Product Description

MPP11 also known as Zuotin-1, DNAJC2 is a member of the M-phase phosphoprotein (MPP) family. MPP11 plays a crucial role in cellular protein homeostasis as a ribosome-associated DnaJ molecular chaperone. MPP11 contains one J domain and two SANT domains, which are essential for assisting proper folding of nascent polypeptides and preventing protein aggregation. MPP11′s importance lies in its interaction with the HSP 70 chaperone machinery, where MPP11 stimulates ATP hydrolysis, facilitating the protein folding process. This interaction is vital for maintaining cellular function, especially under stress conditions, as MPP11 helps ensure proteins achieve correct conformation and function.
