| Product Description | |
SGK3 also known as serum/glucocorticoid-regulated kinase 3 is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family and shares structural similarities with the Akt protein family. SGK3 plays a crucial role in mediating cell survival signals, particularly those dependent on interleukin-3, and is primarily localized to early endosomes and vesicle-like structures within the cell. SGK3 expression is widespread, with significant levels found in the kidney, liver, pancreas, brain, and heart, highlighting SGK3′s importance in various physiological processes. Notably, SGK3 regulates ion channels, including potassium channels, which are essential for maintaining cellular excitability and transport functions. |
