Product Description

TBX3 is a member of a phylogenetically conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. TBX3 plays a crucial role in developmental processes, particularly in the regulation of gene expression during embryonic development. TBX3 functions as a transcriptional repressor, which is essential for maintaining the balance of gene expression necessary for proper cellular differentiation and organogenesis. Dysregulation of TBX3 has been implicated in various human diseases, including ulnar-mammary syndrome and certain types of cancer, highlighting TBX3′s importance in both developmental biology and pathology. The T-box transcription factor family, to which TBX3 belongs, is characterized by a conserved DNA-binding domain that allows specific gene promoter interactions, thereby influencing the transcriptional landscape of developing tissues.
