C/EBP δ/ε also known as CEBPdelta/epsilon, CEBPD/CEBPE belonds to the CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein family. C/EBP δ/ε plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in response to cellular stress and inflammation. C/EBP δ/ε is primarily located in the nucleus, where C/EBP δ/ε functions as a transcription factor, binding to specific DNA sequences to modulate the expression of genes involved in metabolic processes and immune responses. C/EBP δ can form heterodimers with other C/EBP family members, such as C/EBP β, enhancing regulatory capabilities and allowing for a coordinated response to various physiological stimuli. These multiple partner interactions highlight C/EBP δ′s significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental changes. C/EBP ε forms heterodimers with other C/EBP family members, such as C/EBP α and C/EBP β, enhancing regulatory capacity and allowing coordinated response to various physiological stimuli.
