| Product Description | |
PTPN14 also known as PTN14, PEZ is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPN14 plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes through its function as a protein tyrosine phosphatase. PTPN14 contains one protein tyrosine phosphatase domain and one FERM (4.1, ezrin, radixin, moesin) domain, which are essential for interactions and regulatory functions. Notably, in actively proliferating cells where cell-cell contacts are disrupted, PTPN14 can translocate to the nucleus, a process that is inhibited by TGFβ, a protein known to suppress cell proliferation. Additionally, PTPN14 localization is influenced by serum concentrations, with higher levels leading to nuclear accumulation, indicating potential involvement in cell proliferation regulation. |
