| Product Description | |
Annexin A2 also known as Annexin II, Annexin-2, ANXA2 is a member of the annexin family. plays a crucial role in various cellular processes. Predominantly located in the cytoplasm and on the cell surface, Annexin A2 mediates membrane-related events like endocytosis, exocytosis, and cellular adhesion. Surface-expressed Annexin A2 acts as a receptor for plasminogen and tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), facilitating plasmin generation and playing a key role in fibrinolysis and blood coagulation. Annexin A2 can exist as a monomer or form a heterotetramer complex with S100A10 (p11), known as calpactin I, which is involved in signal transduction pathways. Annexin A2 is also a substrate for protein kinase C (PKC) and Src family kinases, indicating involvement in phosphorylation-dependent signaling mechanisms. |
