Product Description

BMP7 also known as OP-1 is a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. BMP7 plays a crucial role in cartilage and bone formation, making BMPs essential for skeletal development and repair. BMP7 promotes osteogenesis and chondrogenesis, while BMP7 signaling pathways maintain bone homeostasis. BMP7 is primarily located in the extracellular matrix and secreted by various cell types, including osteoblasts and chondrocytes, underscoring BMP7′s importance in bone and cartilage development regulation.
