| Product Description | |
ACBP also known as DBI is a protein that is regulated by hormones and is involved in lipid metabolism and the displacement of beta-carbolines and benzodiazepines. ACBP plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism by binding long chain acyl-CoA esters (LCAs) with high affinity, thereby regulating their availability and influencing various intracellular functions. ACBP is predominantly located in the cytoplasm, where ACBP facilitates the transport and storage of acyl-CoA, which is essential for fatty acid metabolism and energy production. ACBP is highly conserved across multiple species, including humans, rats, frogs, insects, plants, and yeast, highlighting ACBP′s fundamental biological importance. |
