DLD(Dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase) also known as PHE3 is a member of the class-I pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase family. DLD plays a crucial role in cellular energy metabolism as a flavin-dependent oxidoreductase, functioning as a key component of several important enzyme complexes, including the pyruvate dehydrogenase and α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complexes.
