Product Description

eEF1A1 also known as CCS3, EF1alpha1 is an isoform of the alpha subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is responsible for the enzymatic delivery of aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome. This process ensures accurate and efficient protein synthesis, necessary for numerous cellular functions and overall organismal health. eEF1A1 shows predominant expression in tissues such as brain, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas, highlighting widespread physiological importance. Located on chromosome 6q14.1, eEF1A1 has been identified as an autoantigen in Felty syndrome, a condition characterized by rheumatoid arthritis and increased susceptibility to infections.
