HNF-4α/γ plays an essential role in regulating genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism, making it a key player in maintaining metabolic homeostasis. Dysfunction of HNF-4 α is associated with several metabolic disorders, including diabetes and obesity, highlighting its significance in both basic and clinical research. Understanding HNF-4 α function can provide insights into therapeutic targets for metabolic conditions. HNF4γ along with HNF1α regulates this transcriptome. HNF4γ generates and maintains enhancers at the gastrointestinal-lineage genes as a pioneer factor and mediates castration resistance. |
