| Product Description | |
SFRP2 also also known as FRP-2, SARP1 is a member of the SFRP family. SFRP2 plays a crucial role in the Wnt signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. By regulating intracellular levels of β-catenin, SFRP2 influences gene expression and developmental processes, making SFRP2 vital for normal embryonic development and maintenance of adult tissues. Frizzled-related proteins, including SFRP2 are secreted proteins that share homology with the cysteine-rich, ligand-binding domain of frizzled receptors, allowing SFRP2 to modulate Wnt signaling effectively. Expression of SFRP2 is particularly high in developing tissues, highlighting SFRP2′s importance during critical stages of growth and development. |
