Product Description

TFEB also known as TCFEB is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family. TFEB plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as autophagy and lysosomal biogenesis, which are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress. TFEB′s ability to regulate gene expression in response to nutrient availability and cellular stress highlights its importance in metabolic regulation and potential implications in diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration. TFEB is predominantly expressed in trophoblast cells of the placenta, where TFEB is essential for normal vascularization, and can form homodimers or heterodimers with other related proteins like TFE3 and TFEC, further influencing regulatory functions.
