| Product Description | |
TRPC3 also known as TRP3, SCA41 is a membrane protein that can form a non-selective channel permeable to calcium and other cations. TRPC3 playsing a crucial role in store-operated calcium entry. This process is vital for numerous cellular functions, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and gene expression. TRPC3 is predominantly expressed in the brain, where TRPC3 contributes to neuronal signaling and plasticity. The activation of TRPC3 is intricately linked to the interaction between inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptors and the channel itself, facilitating calcium influx in response to various stimuli. Additionally, TRPC3 can be activated by diacylglycerol independently of protein kinase C, highlighting TRPC3′s importance in diverse signaling pathways. |
