| Product Description | |
Integrin β4 (ITGB4) also known as CD104 is a single-pass type I membrane protein consisting of 1822 amino acids and is primarily expressed in epithelial tissues. ITGB4 associates with Integrin α6 to form a receptor for Laminin, a key component of the extracellular matrix that influences cell behavior, including migration, differentiation, and survival. The interaction between ITGB4 and Laminin is vital for maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial tissues and facilitating communication between cells and their microenvironment. Integrins are heterodimers formed from noncovalently associated transmembrane α and β subunits, play a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling. |
